Personal Style and Resume
One of my favorite quotes is “There isn’t a person you wouldn’t love if you could read their story.” I feel like this quotes fits well with my personal style. My passion for photography, specifically portraits, comes from a desire to get to know people’s stories and attempt to share them through pictures. Technically correct photos are great and all but I think photos that capture how a moment feels rather than just how it looks is more important.
My creative handout shows my style as both a photographer and a designer. I actually went through quite a few different designs (including one finished design being completely erased from my computer) before I got to this one. The paper type wasn’t the best type for this project, I found out when I started folding, so I’d definitely change paper types when I print more. The outside displays my photography style with one of my favorite portraits, and was the most difficult to create. It required a lot of measuring and testing to get the right angle. I got the fold idea from Clémentine Rocheron. Also a lot of brain power to make sure the different pieces of the photo were in the right place. The inside shows some of my design skills with my resume. Both the photograph and the design are simple and to the point, which describes both my personality and style.
As a Web Design Major I have had the opportunity to learn so many different skills that make me very versatile. This major has been perfect for me because I love learning new things and have so many different interests. Something I have learned from this project, this class, and my college experience in general is that you don’t need to be an expert in something to try it. I am far from being an expert in everything I do but I have a passion for trying, improving, and accomplishing.
So if you think I could be a good match for your next project, shoot me a message, I’d love to hear from you!
