From Camera to Printer

I have shared this photo in an earlier post, but I loved it so much I decided to print it. The process from camera to printer is not as simple as one might think. My personal preference is to edit in Adobe Lightroom and that is where I did the majority of my edits for this photo. I made it black and white and slightly adjusted some exposure/curves. I then did a test print that was 8×12 and brought it to class for some critique. After some very helpful feedback from Caryn Esplin, my instructor and very talented photographer, I decided I wanted to change the composition a little bit. So I decided to print an 18×24 so I imported the picture to Photoshop. There I did some sizing and content aware fill to get it framed the way I wanted.

After it was complete I printed it and got it mounted. I loved how it turned out and I can’t stop staring at it! On Tuesday it’s going to be hung up in the Spori building on BYU-I campus for a week so if you are in the area be sure to go check it out!
