Shooting with Groups
A couple weeks back I got to do a big session of portraits with some of my amazing photographer colleagues. It was a blast to be able to model for them and then reverse rolls. I learned a lot from watching them shoot and come up with ideas while I was modeling. It gives you a better feel for how you can better help the model feel more comfortable.
Group portraits can be a little more tricky than just singles because you have to worry about more than just one person. For these portraits we had some fantastic evening lighting. Most were just using the natural light with reflectors bouncing a little bit more light in their faces. They were all taken at a low ISO and with my 50mm lens. Megan Kelly was a huge inspiration for me on this shoot. She helped find the good lighting and was great at getting groups set up. You should check out some of her work here.
