Movie Poster

The Idea

This past weekend I was able to go visit my family and take a trip up to our cabin. While I was there I got a few photos for my movie poster project. I decided to create a movie poster based on a really good movie called 500 Days of Summer. The original movie poster is incredible and got me really excited to create my own. Little did I know how long it would take to get all the tiny images onto my poster. Here are the thumbnails of some images included in the posterĀ (some taken by my lovely miniature me) and the original movie poster:

The Process

The long process of this poster began in Adobe InDesign. I used the original movie poster as a reference for the location of the images and began creating frames. After I had all the frames created (about 380+) I began adding almost all the pictures I have on my computer. This process took a lot longer than I had anticipated. After many hours of adding the small photos I took the image into Photoshop and began to add the finishing elements, including the large image, the title, and small text. Here is the finished product: Movie Poster 500 Days of Summer Spoof
