Creating a watercolor effect

This week I put on my creative hat and worked a lot in Photoshop. I did a series of three different types of creative editing and learned a WHOLE lot! The first one I did was a watercolor effect of sorts. I first started off by looking at a couple different tutorials and gathering some inspiration. The tutorial I most closely followed was one I found on Youtube. It was super easy to follow and gave me some good ideas for my own. If you want to watch it click here.

After I had an idea in mind I searched through my pictures for a good subject. I used one of my shots from a shoot I did last weekend (more photos to come). I also grabbed some free stock photos of watercolor splashes and a textured background. Then following all the steps in the Youtube tutorial, and adding my own personal touch, I came up with my final piece.
