Women’s Vintage Fashion

I got a great opportunity to do a vintage fashion/military shoot a couple weeks back and finally have all the pictures done. The Rexburg Legacy Flight Museum let us use their airplanes and we brought in authentic military outfits from WWII and just had fun traveling back in time. It was really cool not only to see the men in uniform but to see the women in period clothing. Sometimes I wish we could go back to the days of dresses and pearls.

It was did take me quite a while to go through all the images and find my favorites, but these are the top three from the women. This first one was taken indoors with a Octobox flash. I really love the soft lighting it gave which was perfect for this style. The second one was taken with just a speed light. I loved the color of the plane and how perfectly it matched her lipstick. This model is the very incredible Katie Anderson, she was one of my previous teachers and a big inspiration. Check out some of her work here. The third one I styled to make look like a WWII poster and I am pretty happy with how it turned out.
